Marketing services company Inspired Thinking Group decided to kick off 2019 in a big way. They brought three major speakers to their live event, including physicist Brian Cox.
Cox was first up on the stage and he laid out quantum theory in a way the audience can grasp. He also shared how nature's building blocks can work towards creating an inquisitive and flexible frame of mind.
“Thinking scientifically can teach us how to think about broader issues – why the universe is the way it is,” Cox said. “These may seem like impossible questions, but the key to scientific thinking is to start with smaller questions and build up a reservoir of knowledge to start answering the bigger questions.”
The event took place in Birmingham, England on January 17. Many brands and some of the top print buyers in the world were in attendance.
Cox works as a professor of particle physics at the University of Manchester. He has gained most of his notoriety from hosting science programs like "Wonders of..."
Cox has also authored over 900 scientific papers and written books about science, including The Quantum Universe. He has received several honorary doctorates from prestigious institutions in the United Kingdom.
In 2010, Cox was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire. Prior to his career as a physicist, he was a keyboard player for multiple bands.
