Netflix Co-Founder Marc Randolph Speaks at High Point University

Netflix co-founder Marc Randolph recently had the opportunity to reach the next generation of entrepreneurs. He spoke at High Point University in a moderated Q&A with Department of Biology chair Dr. Angela Bauer.

Randolph talked about how important personal growth is to the entrepreneurial process. He also said that you have to accept whatever level of risk associated with a dream you have and scale back the vision if you need your risk to be more palatable.

Randolph also spoke to several other groups throughout the day. He was inducted into the HPU Entrepreneurs Club Honor Society of Entrepreneurship.

The appearance by Randolph was made possible because he already serves as HPU's Entrepreneur in Residence. As Netflix co-founder and the company's first CEO, he had a vital role in creating one of the most transformative entities in media today.

Randolph is also known for helping to start Macworld magazine, MacWarehouse and MicroWarehouse. He is the board of trustees chairman for the National Outdoor Leadership School and on the board for 1% for the Planet.

Randolph began his career at a mail order company, which would help inspire many of his future innovations. He is a top speaker today on topics like innovation and leadership.
