Annmarie Thomas Biography

AnnMarie Thomas is a writer and mechanical engineer. She has worked as an engineer for the majority of her career, as she earned a BS in ocean engineering from MIT in 2001, and then received a MS and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 2002 and 2006 respectively. Thomas is currently working as an engineering professor at The Schulze School of Entrepreneurship. She also holds a teaching position at the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. Thomas has founded and directed the Playful Learning Lab, which helps students to learn engineering’s “playful side.” Thomas also gives technology speeches on engineering.
