Brian Binnie is best known for being one of the SpaceShipOne test pilots. SpaceShipOne was an experimental space plane that was built by Scaled Composites. The plan cost about $25 million and was the first manned private space flight in human history. The plane won numerous awards, including the Ansair X Prize. Binnie began his career as an officer in the US Navy. He achieved the rank of Commander during his Naval career.
