Dr. David Ferrucci Biography

David Ferrucci is best known as one of the IBM team members who created the Watson computer system. He completed the project alongside a team of engineers and academic researchers from 2007 to 2011. Ferrucci graduated from Manhattan College with a B.S. in biology and from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Ph.D. in computer science. In 2012, Ferrucci left IBM to join Bridgewater Associates. In addition to his work with IBM and Bridgewater, Ferrucci is also known for his work as founder and chief executive officer of Elemental Cognition, an organization which studies natural learning.
