James Cameron Biography

Cameron was born in August 1954. He is a Canadian filmmaker, a philanthropist, and an explorer. He experienced significant success after he wrote and directed the science fiction film, THE TERMINATOR in 1984. After which he was hired to write and direct another movie in 1986 called ALIENS. After his film titled TRUE LIES, Cameron took on his most view film and biggest movie titled TITANIC in 1997. Titanic won several awards, including Academy Awards for Best pictures, Best Film Editing, and Best Director. He has created several movies after that, including the fan-favorite, Avatar, in 2009. While he continued to train himself in several filmmaking techniques, Cameron began work as a miniature model maker at the Roger Corman Studios in 1979. Soon after in 1981, he was hired as the special effect director sequel to Piranha.
