Kevin Poulsen Biography

Kevin Poulson is a US based black-hat hacker, writer, and author. Poulson has been arrested several times for hacking computer networks. In 1990, he took over all of the KIIS-FM’s telephone lines in order to win a radio station prize. He went underground and was pursued by the FBI. Poulson was later arrested by the FBI and sentenced to five years in a federal penitentiary. He was also banned from using computers or the internet for three years after his release. After his release, Poulsen became a journalist after trying to leave his criminal past behind. He now writes for publications such as The Daily Beast.
