LeVar Burton is a US based author, presenter, and actor. Burton is best known for his work on Reading Rainbow, a PBS series which aired in the 1990s. Burton also worked on Star Trek, portraying the character Geordi La Forge. He also worked on the TV series Roots. Burton is well-known for his acting, but he is also a director. Burton directed several episodes of Star Trek in addition to acting in the series. Burton currently resides in Sherman Oaks, California.
