Marc Andreessen is a US based investor, engineer, and entrepreneur. Andreessen was born in 1971 and quickly took to computers and software development in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He co-founded Netscape and is the coauthor of Mosaic. Andreessen is one of the earliest proponents of web browsers and his work on Netscape brought him both fame and fortune. Andreessen used that money to begin a venture capital firm called Andreessen Horowitz. He has served as the firm’s general partner for most of its existence. Andreessen has also founded several other internet companies, including Ning, which focuses on platforming for social media websites.
