Marc Faber Biography

Marc Faber is an investment professional based in Thailand. He was born in Zurich, Switzerland in 1946. Faber holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Zurich. He received his Ph.D. at the age of 24. He worked for White Weld & Company throughout the 1970s, and he moved from New York City, to Hong Kong. Later in the decade he was named managing director at Drexel Burnham Lambert. Faber established Marc Faber Limited in 1990, and now runs his own investment house in Thailand. His company also has offices in Hong Kong. Throughout his career, Faber has advised a number of investment funds looking at emerging markets.
