Stacey Burr Biography

Stacey Burr is currently Product Management at Google and previous VP Wearable Sports Electronics at Adidas , where she came through an unusual path when Textronics Inc the company she founded in 2005 was purchased by Adidas. Located outside of Philadelphia Textronics Inc. was a pioneer in electro-textiles space. They commercialized some of the first smart sensor garments for fitness and health. For example sports bras that can monitor EKG and Heart rate or men’s compression shirts that can sense respiration and breathing patterns.Textronics became adidas Wearable Sports Electronics and is part of the adidas Interactive Business that develops the miCoach fitness monitoring product line. Stacey has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and an M.B.A, with a marketing and operations emphasis, from Purdue University. She is the co-inventor of 9 patented materials and process technology innovations. In addition to her position with adidas, she also stays active in the venture start-up community and mentors other start-ups.
