He works in the robotics field and currently teaches computer and information science and electrical and systems engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Kumar also serves in the American Philoophical Society. Kumar’s most notable student is Jaydev P. Desai, who works at the Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines.
