Yoelle Maarek Biography

Yoelle Maarek is Yahoo’s vice president and head of research. She graduated from college in France and did graduate study in Israel. Maarek worked at IBM from 1989 to 2006. She was one of the company’s lead engineers at the time. After IBM, she moved to Google. While at Google, she founded the Google Haifa Engineering Center in Haifa, Israel. Maarek joined Yahoo in 2009. Maarek is also a fellow of the association for computing machinery. She gives speeches on product development and industrial leadership.
